It originated from a community of secondhand goods traders formed by Hokkien settlers from Anxi, Fujian, in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur regions. With a proud history of over 80 years, MSMDA unites steel and metal hardware merchants nationwide to safeguard industry interests and create new business opportunities. Today, it stands as one of Malaysia’s most prominent organizations in the steel industry.
